Typical use of Bitumen felts are as an underlay beneath other building materials, particularly roofing and siding materials. It helps protect the roof deck from rain until roofing is installed and provides an extra weather barrier.

• Tar Plastic is a cold applied bituminous caulking compound with mineral fillers in a volatilesolvent to retain its plasticity. It is available in a putty form. TarPlastic remains plastic for aconsiderable length of time. The skin and interior harden to some extent after application. 

Application :

• It is ideal for use in situation where certain degree of expansion, contraction and vibration isexpected, like around J Hooks used for fixing Asbestos / GI sheets. It can also be used forcaulking various types of roofs and masonry walls, including
• Fully plugging gaps in tiles caused by sagging of battens or otherwise in case of tiledroofs.
• Filling minor cracks / gaps in terraced roofs or other locations.

• Does not creep or flow when applied on vertical or sloping surfaces.
• Remains plastic for a considerable time and, therefore, can accommodate a good degree ofexpansion, contraction and vibration

Application:
CPRX Compound is recommended for the fixing of expanded/extruded Polystyrene (thermocole), insulex soft boards and fibre glass insulation slabs for all type of structures where bituminous adhesive isacceptable.

It may be used to stick insulation sheets on to concrete, timber, metal or other insulation sheets.

It is particularly suitable for use in cold storage to ensure good adhesion to walls and ceilings and may

also be used for sticking thermocole for insulation of refrigeration pipe work.

Special grades of CPRX Compound™ are available for fixing tiles, linoleum, etc.
